Death for a reason.

Lying in the navy blue of night. Slowly but surely fading from this world. My thoughts with the stars, my eyes in the dark, my ears to the stereo playing at my side. Sleep is creeping through my thoughts and dulling my senses. The wind whistles pasts the cracks in the sill and keeps my feet cold where they poke out at the end of my doona. I consciously curl up and pull my body under the covers, acknowledging even as I do that I will stretch out again during the night and chilled feet will cause me to wake and then curl up once more. Morgue on a Monday morning.Sitting on my bed looking at a computer screen, which holds no interest for me, the monotony of schoolwork boring me to tears. The focus of my attention truly with the music throbbing in my ears. The words to Freaks worming their way into my sub-conscious and trying to divert me from work that may affect my future career as a student. Suddenly I am jarred out of my complacency by a piercing note of sound. The sound stops and then repeats itself only this time with a certain melody to it that denotes the song of a phone, our phone in the hallway. I am moving by instinct as I realise I must reach the phone before it rings for a fourth time as t Morgue on a Monday morning.

i look deep into your eyes, trying to decipher what i see there. is the calm disinterest simply that, or does it bely some underspoken feeling, an unawakened desire to be crazily infatuated and explore the heights unknown and unfounded with another soul? is there a passion stored beyond sight, forced down from fear of previous disappointments and future denials. awaiting that tingling sensation that speaks deep within and sets the butterflys raging.
